I need to drop a new engine into my '99 2.5rs. I'm hoping to find one at a salvage yard instead of having to pay for a new one. My question is, would I have to take the engine from another '99 2.5rs, or are other engines compatible? and if other engines are compatible, wich ones?

i believe all subaru engines are compatible with each other, just the determining of motor and trans mounts i think, for some swaps you dont need to change the mounts, but not sure for which one
